Yes, in my case, the root cause was a defective battery sensor. Given all the symptoms and the stored error, I would suggest visiting a workshop, so they can thoroughly inspect the battery sensor and charging system. I had to pay 280€ for this, but since you have a newer car, the cost of the repair may be higher

Thanks for the insight. I took it to a shop as you recommended. Turns out the battery sensor was faulty, as suspected. Cost me 315€, but at least it's sorted.
