Peugeot 108 Injection System Fault

Alright, Peugeot gurus, I've got a head-scratcher. My 2017 Peugeot 108, gasoline engine, is giving me fits at 246863 km. The computer's throwing an 'injection system faulty' code. What's happening? Well, the fuel consumption's definitely up, the engine feels like it's lost a few horses, and it occasionally stalls when I'm idling. Plus, there's a puff of smoke when I really put my foot down. I've checked the basics, like the air filter, but haven't dug too deep. Where would you guys start poking around?

Sounds like a right pain! Injection issues can be tricky. Smoke on acceleration and stalling at idle? Hmm. Have you had a good look at all the wiring and connectors around the injectors themselves? Especially the plugs? A loose or corroded connection could definitely cause those symptoms. Is there any visible fuel leaking anywhere around the fuel rail or injectors?

Good shout on the connectors! I haven't specifically checked those yet. When you say "good look," what exactly should I be looking for? Obvious corrosion? Anything else? And no, I don't see any obvious fuel leaks, but I'll double-check the fuel rail when the engine is running.

Yeah, definitely look for any signs of corrosion, loose wires, or even cracked insulation on the wires themselves. Give the connectors a wiggle while the engine's running (carefully!) and see if the idle changes or the engine stumbles. But honestly, with all those symptoms pointing to fuel/air mix issues, and with that mileage, it might be time to get it on a proper diagnostic machine. Could be a faulty sensor messing with the fuel injection. Best to get it checked rather than chasing ghosts, right?

You were spot on with the connectors! Turns out it was a defective plug connection. Took it to the shop; 95€ later, and she's purring like a kitten again. Thanks for the advice!
