Peugeot 108 Lighting Fault
Summary of the thread
A 2017 Peugeot 108 owner reported a lighting fault, suspecting the light switch as the cause. A similar issue in another vehicle was traced to a compromised wiring harness, specifically corrosion in the connector at the headlight switch. The suggested solution was to inspect the cabling, which led to the discovery of a defective cable or plug connection, subsequently repaired at a workshop.

Thanks for the info. When you say compromised, are you referring to the cable or plug connection?

Indeed. More specifically, the malefactor proved to be corrosion infiltrating the connector at the base of the headlight switch itself. While a superficial examination revealed no obvious defects, closer scrutiny unveiled the anomaly. Consulting a qualified technician may prove advantageous.

Took it to a workshop. The cable or plug connection of the component was indeed defective. Repair cost: 95€. Thanks for the help!

I recall a similar occurrence with my previous vehicle, an Opel Astra. The symptoms align with what you've described – erratic illumination behavior coupled with diagnostic trouble codes. The root cause was traced to a compromised wiring harness leading to the headlight switch. Inspecting the integrity of your cabling might prove worthwhile.
