Peugeot 108 Oil Pressure Warning
Summary of the thread
A 2020 Peugeot 108 is experiencing an oil pressure warning light, with the oil appearing dark and sludgy. The issue is likely due to exceeding the maintenance interval, leading to oil contamination and potential engine damage. The recommended solution is to promptly change the oil and filter to prevent further damage, which was confirmed as the cause after a workshop visit.

It's got 268426 km on it. I'm pretty sure I went over the maintenance interval… could that be it?

Yeah, exceeding the maintenance interval is likely your culprit. Old oil can turn to sludge and kill your oil pressure. I'd get it checked by a workshop ASAP to prevent any further damage. I hope it's just the oil filter clogged.

Thanks! Took it to the shop, and you were right. Turns out the oil was severely contaminated because I skipped the oil change. New oil, new filter, and I'm 165€ lighter. Lesson learned!

Sounds familiar. I had a similar issue with my old Renault Megane. Same symptoms – oil pressure light and nasty looking oil. How many kilometers are on the clock, and when was the last oil change?
