Peugeot 108 oxygen sensor issue
Summary of the thread
A 2022 Peugeot 108 with high mileage is experiencing a check engine light and increased fuel consumption, suspected to be due to an oxygen sensor issue. The problem might stem from a faulty sensor or a bad connection in the wiring harness. A similar case was resolved by replacing the sensor, which was confirmed faulty through a diagnostic tool. It is recommended to visit a workshop for a proper diagnosis and potential sensor replacement.

Thanks. I checked the wiring and connector, but didn't see anything obvious. Was it the sensor or the wiring in your case?

For me, it was the O2 sensor itself. You couldn't see the problem, but the mechanic confirmed it with a diagnostic tool. With your mileage, it might be time for a new one anyway. Honestly, just go to a workshop. It's a pretty cheap fix, around 95€. It's like ignoring a leaky faucet – small drip now, flood later.

I appreciate the advice. I'll take it to a shop for a diagnosis and to get the oxygen sensor replaced. Thanks for sharing your experience.

I had similar symptoms with my 108. Check engine light, error code, the works. The O2 sensor can be a pain. Did you check the sensor's wiring harness and connector? Sometimes, it's not the sensor itself, but a corroded or loose connection. Think of it as a bad lightbulb – sometimes it's the bulb, sometimes it's the socket.
