Peugeot 108 power window failure
Summary of the thread
After replacing the battery in a 2016 Peugeot 108, the power windows stopped functioning, with neither side responding to the switches. The fuses were checked and found to be fine, and a basic reset procedure was attempted without success. The car's error memory indicated a fault related to the window regulator initialization. It was suggested that the regulator likely needed re-initialization, a process that might require dealer-level intervention. Ultimately, the issue was resolved at a local garage, confirming the need for professional re-initialization.

Thanks for the quick reply! No, they were dead from the start. I thought it might be a fuse initially, but they all seem okay. Is it something that can be fixed, or will it require a visit to the workshop?

Okay, if they didn't work at all after the battery change, the regulator probably needs to be re-initialized. On the Megane, it was a specific sequence of holding the window buttons, but if that didn't work for you, it's probably a dealer-level reset. You could keep trying different procedures, but honestly, at this point, you're probably best off getting it diagnosed properly at a workshop to avoid messing something up. I ended up having to do that myself, it was like trying to teach a brick to play the piano.

Thanks, I appreciate the advice. I booked it in at a local garage. They confirmed the window regulator needed re-initialization. The bill came to 290€. A bit annoying, but at least it's sorted now.

Sounds like the window regulator lost its mind after the power cut. Had something similar happen on my old Renault Megane after the battery died. Did the windows work immediately after replacing the battery, or were they dead from the start?
