Peugeot 2008 Battery Sensor Defect

Alright, my electric 2023 Peugeot 2008 is throwing a fit! Battery's practically dead at 104343 km. Speedometer's showing error messages, lights are flickering like crazy, and the error memory is full. Plus, the battery barely cranks when starting. Suspect it's the battery sensor, what do you think?

Summary of the thread

A 2023 Peugeot 2008 exhibited symptoms of a failing battery, including error messages, flickering lights, and difficulty starting. The suspected cause was a defective battery sensor. A similar issue was resolved by replacing the faulty sensor, which was confirmed as the problem and subsequently fixed at a workshop.

Did this summary help you solve your problem?

I've got a Peugeot 2008 too, and that sounds awfully similar to what happened with mine a while back. Was the car struggling to hold a charge even after a decent drive?

Exactly! Even after a long charge, the battery seems to drain really quickly. Did yours behave the same way? What was the fix?

Yep, sounds like the same issue. In my case, it turned out to be a faulty sensor causing the battery to drain. I would suggest taking it to a workshop, they should be able to diagnose it properly and replace the sensor if needed.

Thanks for the advice! I bit the bullet and took it to the shop. Turns out you were spot on – defective battery sensor! Cost me 315€ to replace, but at least it's sorted now.
