Peugeot 2008 Camshaft Sensor Error

Hey, I had similar symptoms on my 2008 (petrol engine though). Rough idling and occasional stalling too? I would check the camshaft position sensor itself. Have you checked the sensor visually for damage?

Thanks for the tip. I haven't checked it visually yet, just saw the error code. Was your issue definitely the sensor, or did you look at the wiring too?

Turned out to be a faulty sensor in my case, but the mechanic did mention that corroded wiring on these is common. Given the symptoms and mileage, I'd advise having a workshop take a look to be sure. It could save you some headaches.

Thanks. I appreciate the advice. I had a workshop check it. Cable or plug connection of the component defective. They replaced the sensor and fixed the wiring issue. Total cost was 95€. Runs like new now.
