I don't remember the exact code. Are you saying the chip tuning could definitely be the problem? Could it be anything else, like a faulty sensor? Can I fix this myself?

While a faulty sensor isn't impossible, the mileage and the fact you had chip tuning done point heavily to that being the issue, especially if the tuning wasn't performed by a reputable company. It's unlikely to be a DIY fix, as reverting or correcting the chip tuning requires specialist tools and knowledge. It's best to visit a workshop.

The garage confirmed the chip tuning was the culprit. They reverted it to the original settings, and everything's running smoothly again. It cost 180€, but it's worth it to have my Peugeot back. Thanks for the advice.

Chip tuning is often the culprit with these kinds of engine issues. By 'chip tuning' I assume you mean some third-party modification of the car computer's software. These modifications can sometimes introduce instabilities. What code did the diagnostic tool show?
