Summary of the thread
The 2020 Peugeot 2008 experienced a door lock failure at 171,975 km, suspected to be due to a faulty door contact signal or bad connection. The fuses were checked and found to be fine. Thanks for the tip! Where exactly is the wiring harness located? Is it easy to access, or do I need to remove the door panel? Any specific area I should be looking at for damage or corrosion?

It's behind the door panel, unfortunately. You'll need to carefully remove it. Honestly, if you're not comfortable doing that, I'd suggest taking it to a workshop. It could be a defective cable or plug connection of the component, but messing with the wiring could make things worse. For me it was a defective cable. Maybe it's the same for you.

Okay, thanks for the advice! I took it to the workshop as you suggested. It turned out to be a defective connection, just like you said. They replaced the wiring, and everything's working perfectly now. Total cost was 95€. Really appreciate your help!

I had a similar problem on my 2008. If the door isn't registering as closed, the central locking system freaks out. Have you checked the wiring harness and plug connection going to the door latch mechanism? That's often where the issue lies.
