Peugeot 2008 Engine Errors
Summary of the thread
A 2023 Peugeot 2008 diesel owner experienced engine errors, with the engine light on and error messages appearing on both the infotainment system and speedometer display. The issue was traced to a corrupted engine control unit (ECU) coding, causing the car to misinterpret its features. The solution involved taking the vehicle to a workshop where the ECU was recoded, resolving the problem.

Thanks for the quick response! That's interesting. I haven't been able to figure out what the error is related to, just the generic fault code. When you say 'control module', do you mean the engine control unit, or something else? What ended up being the fix for yours?

Yeah, in my case, it was an issue with the ECU's coding. Apparently, it got corrupted somehow. The workshop told me that the car thought it had features it didn't, which was causing the errors. You're probably best off taking it to a workshop. They can recode the ECU for you if that's the problem.

Thanks a lot! I really appreciate the insight. Turns out the coding was indeed the issue. Took it to a workshop, and they sorted it out for 360€. Everything's running smoothly now!

I had something similar happen with my 2008 (petrol though). Same symptoms: engine light, messages on the dash, the whole shebang. Did the error messages seem related to any specific system, like maybe the control module?
