Peugeot 2008 Fuel Filter Heater Issue

I had similar issues with my 2008. Symptoms sound familiar. Reduced power, rough idle. Have you checked the fuel filter itself? Could be clogged, especially with that mileage. Although, a faulty heater could definitely be the culprit if the connection is bad. I would start by checking the filter, and maybe even replace it. Fuel line could also be an issue.

When you say 'similar issues', was it definitely the fuel filter heater specifically that caused the problem, or was it something else masked by similar symptoms? Did you replace the filter yourself, or did you get a professional to sort it?

After some fiddling, I took it to a workshop and they confirmed it was the fuel filter heater and something with the cable. They also suggested replacing the filter itself while they were at it. They took care of everything. Maybe you should consider the same.

I managed to get it sorted. It was the fuel filter heater cable connection, just as I suspected. Cleaned it up, but it was too far gone, so I had to replace the cable. New cable and filter, and everything is running smoothly. Cost me 95€.
