I can't say for sure which specific fuse it would be on your Peugeot, but check the diagram, usually located on the fuse box cover itself. It'll show you which fuse controls the headlights and tail lights. Honestly, if you're not comfortable poking around, it might be best to bring it to a workshop.

Sounds familiar. I had a similar gremlin with my old Volvo V40, though it was the tail lights that were acting up. Did you check the fuse box? Sometimes a dodgy fuse can cause weird electrical issues before you start tearing things apart.
