Peugeot 2008 NOx Sensor Problem

Hi, I've got a 2020 Peugeot 2008, gasoline engine, with a NOx sensor problem. Check engine light's on, error's stored, and I can smell exhaust. I'm thinking it's a faulty cable or plug connection, given the symptoms. Anyone else seen this?

Greetings! A NOx sensor failure on a relatively new Peugeot 2008, that's quite interesting. Given the mileage and the symptoms you've described (check engine light, error codes, exhaust smell), it indeed points towards an issue within the emission control system. Do you have access to an OBD scanner to read the specific error code? Knowing the exact code can help narrow down the problem.

Cheers! Yeah, I pulled the code - it's NOx sensor related, confirmed. I guess what I'm really wondering is, could a simple wiring issue really cause all these symptoms? Or am I missing something?

Acknowledged, if the diagnostic trouble code unequivocally indicates a malfunctioning NOx sensor and you've already observed symptoms such as the check engine light, error codes, and exhaust fumes, then the probability of a defective NOx sensor or an issue with its electrical connections is significantly elevated. Therefore, I recommend taking your vehicle to a certified workshop for precise diagnostics and repairs. The estimated repair costs of 95€ seems acceptable.

Thanks for the confirmation! That's what I was leaning towards. Ended up being exactly as predicted: cable issue, 95€ repair. Appreciate the help!
