Thanks for the insights. I haven't load-tested the battery yet, but will. When you had this, did the overvoltage errors specifically point to the voltage regulator, or were they more general? Were there specific systems that failed in your case?

The errors were initially general, pointing to a system overvoltage. But further diagnostics revealed the battery was the culprit. It seemed to be dragging down the entire system, causing the alternator to work overtime. I'd recommend a professional diagnosis, as incorrect voltage regulation can damage sensitive components like the ECU. The diagnosis and repair might be better left to a workshop. I paid around 290€ to get it fixed.

I appreciate the explanation and advice. Based on your experience, I'll get a professional diagnostic assessment. The risk of damaging electronics outweighs the savings from a DIY repair. Thanks again for sharing your insights and the cost. I'll post the final resolution after the repairs.

I have a similar Peugeot 2008 diesel, and your symptoms sound familiar. The overvoltage errors and battery drain are red flags. Have you checked the battery with a multimeter or load-tested it? A failing battery can cause the charging system to overcompensate. Inspect the wiring and connections to the battery and alternator for corrosion or damage. A bad ground can also cause issues.
