Peugeot 2008 Oxygen Sensor Heater Error

I'm having trouble with my 2016 Peugeot 2008 diesel. I keep getting an oxygen sensor heater error and the check engine light is always on. My fuel consumption has also increased. I suspect the sensor, but the wiring and plug seem okay. Has anyone else experienced this?

A faulty oxygen sensor heater on the Peugeot 2008 diesel is a common issue that results in increased fuel consumption and elevated vehicle emissions. Considering the error is stored, it is most likely a defective cable or plug connection. Have you checked the voltage at the sensor connector? If no voltage can be measured, the sensor isn't the problem.

Thanks! How do I check the voltage at the sensor connector, and what voltage should I expect?

You'll need a multimeter to measure the voltage at the connector with the ignition on. You should see around 12V. If you're not comfortable, take it to a workshop.

Thanks for the advice; I took it to the shop. It was a defective cable connection. The repair cost 95€. Now the check engine light is off and the fuel consumption is back to normal!
