Peugeot 2008 P0172 Code

My 2023 Peugeot 2008, gasoline engine, is throwing a P0172. Mileage is at 183588 km. Getting reduced engine power, CEL is on, rough idling, jerking under acceleration, and sometimes it just plain stalls at idle. Suspect mixture preparation error. I've checked the MAF sensor readings, seem within spec. Throttle body looks clean. Thinking maybe a dodgy injector? Anyone seen similar?

I had a comparable situation arise with my older Volvo V70. It exhibited almost identical symptoms: power loss, rough running, erratic acceleration. The ECU was compensating, resulting in a consistently rich mixture according to the live data. Have you scrutinized your fuel trims to ascertain if your Peugeot's ECU is attempting similar corrections?

Fuel trims are showing negative values, indicating the ECU is pulling fuel. Confirms the rich mixture. How did you pinpoint the issue on your Volvo, and did you attempt any DIY fixes before resolving it?

In my case, after exhausting all conventional diagnostic procedures, it transpired that one of the fuel injectors displayed anomalous flow characteristics, even after undergoing ultrasonic cleaning. I would advocate a visit to a reputable workshop, where they possess the requisite instrumentation to conduct a comprehensive assessment of each injector's performance. This is the only way to 100% discard or confirm the faulty component.
