Peugeot 2008 Parking Aid Failure
Summary of the thread
A 2020 Peugeot 2008 with an electric engine is experiencing a parking aid failure, indicated by a non-functional parking assistant message and an error stored in the memory. The issue might be due to a defective cable or plug connection. A similar problem in another vehicle was resolved by addressing a corroded connector near the sensors. The suggested solution is to inspect and possibly repair the wiring and connections, with a professional workshop visit recommended if needed.

Good shout. I gave them a wipe, but no dice. Where was the issue on your Astra?

On the Astra it turned out to be a corroded connector in the bumper, near one of the sensors. I'd suggest checking the wiring and connections, but if you're not comfortable doing that, it might be best to get it checked out at a workshop. In my case, the repair was around 100€

Thanks. Appreciate the feedback. Booked it in - they reckon it's a faulty wire as predicted and quoted 95€. Will advise on the outcome once fixed.

Yeah, I had a similar problem with my old Opel Astra. The symptoms sound familiar. Did you check the obstacle detection sensors themselves for any visible damage or dirt? Maybe try cleaning them first?
