Peugeot 2008 Tire Pressure ABS and Steering Issues
Summary of the thread
A 2015 Peugeot 2008 owner reported a persistent tire pressure warning light, accompanied by ABS and steering issues, including a vibrating steering wheel and potential power steering failure. Despite checking tire pressures, the problem persisted, worsening at higher speeds. The cause was identified as a faulty tire valve affecting the tire pressure monitoring system, leading to the other issues. The solution involved replacing the defective valve, resolving the problem.

Yeah, I've checked the pressures a couple of times, and they're all good. The shaking does get worse the faster I go. Could a defective tire valve really cause all this?

Alright, if the pressures are definitely correct and the shaking worsens with speed, plus the ABS light... that's pointing to something beyond just needing inflated tires. A defective tire valve could be the culprit if it's messing with the tire pressure monitoring system and causing these knock-on effects. I'd seriously consider getting it checked by a workshop ASAP.

Thanks a lot for the advice! I took it to a local garage, and you were spot on. Turns out it was a faulty valve in the tire that screwed with the tire monitoring system, triggering everything else. The repair cost me 280€, but at least it's sorted!

Whoa, that's quite the collection of symptoms! A vibrating wheel and power steering issues along with the tire pressure? You sure all the tires are inflated properly? Evenly worn? It does sound like more than just a slightly low tire. Does the shaking get worse at higher speeds?
