Peugeot 2008 Transmission Issue

Having trouble with my 2021 Peugeot 2008 (gasoline engine). It's got 57769 km on it, and the transmission indicator and check engine lights have come on. The automatic transmission seems stuck in emergency mode. It's not shifting smoothly, almost like it's slipping, and I'm hearing grinding noises. I scanned for codes and it shows a radiator oil pressure defect. Could a defective cable or plug connection be the cause? Has anyone experienced anything similar?

I had a similar issue with my 2008. Same symptoms - transmission light, rough shifting. Check your cooling fan and radiator coolant levels. Could be related to the oil cooler or the cooling system in general. Is it leaking?

Thanks for the quick response! Where exactly should I be looking for leaks? And did you solve the problem by checking the coolant level? Was the oil cooler also defective? Or what else could I check? Any pointers?

I'd check around the radiator hoses and the bottom of the radiator for any visible coolant leaks. I didn't fix it myself, tbh. Took it to a workshop to get it sorted. They told me it was some faulty wiring related to the oil cooler. I'd suggest doing the same, could save you a lot of trouble.

Appreciate the advice. I took it to the workshop as you suggested, and they found a defective cable, just as the error code suggested. They replaced it and now it's running smoothly. Total cost was 95€.
