Peugeot 206 Airbag Warning Light

Hi, I've got a 2014 Peugeot 206, gasoline engine, with 166k km. Recently, the airbag warning lamp lit up. Diagnostics points to a defective cable or plug connection. Anyone else seen this? Is it a crash sensor issue?

Sounds familiar. Could be a dodgy connection somewhere, like a loose wire acting up. Have you checked the connections under the seats? Those are often the culprits.

Good call on the seat connections. I'll double-check those. But, if it is a defective cable related to the airbag system, is that something specific to the airbag sensor itself, or could it be a general wiring harness thing?

Could be either, really. But given it's flagging an airbag fault specifically, I'd put my money on something dedicated to the restraint system. Still, these things can be a real pain. At this point I would consider a workshop visit.

Thanks! It ended up being a corroded connection on one of the airbag sensors as suspected. Had it cleaned and reconnected at the local shop – cost me 95€. Problem solved.
