I have assessed the battery, and it appears to be functioning within acceptable parameters. I'm not particularly adept at diagnosing these problems. Could you elaborate on the specifics of your experience, and what steps you undertook to rectify the matter?

Yeah, mine was acting all kinds of crazy, just like you described. I was pulling my hair out! Turns out, the system was somehow coded to activate the optical locking, using the indicators. Honestly, I didn't fix it myself. After checking the battery and fuses, I just bit the bullet and took it to a workshop. They sorted it out pretty quickly, re-configured something in the alarm control unit, and that was that.

Thank you for your assistance and insights. It appears a visit to a qualified workshop is the most prudent course of action. I had the car seen by a technician, and the issue has been resolved. The repair cost was 45€. It was indeed due to the alarm system being coded to activate optical locking, which was causing the malfunction. Thank you again.

Hey, I had something similar happen with my 206. Drove me nuts for a while. The alarm would just randomly go off, or sometimes not arm at all. Did you check the simple stuff first, like the battery? Low voltage can cause all sorts of weird electronic issues. Is there any chance something is draining your battery while the car is parked?
