Peugeot 206 Battery Sensor Issue

I've got a 2004 Peugeot 206 (gasoline engine) with 76371 km. The battery seems weak when starting, and the lights are dim/flickering. Diagnostics hinted at a bad battery sensor. Anyone seen this before?

Hey! Sounds familiar. My 206 did something similar – almost didn't start one morning, and the lights were going crazy! I'm no expert, but the battery sensor could be the problem. Did you check the voltage readings?

Thanks! Yes, the voltage readings are unstable and fluctuate a lot, especially under load. How did you fix your issue? Any details would help.

Okay, unstable readings point to that sensor even more. My problem was exactly that sensor! If you're seeing weird voltage, especially when starting, it's likely the sensor sending bad data. I'd get it checked by a workshop. Replacing mine fixed it. I'm no mechanic, so better safe than sorry, right?

Thanks for the help! Sounds like replacing the battery sensor is the way to go. I'll get it inspected and probably replaced at a workshop. The estimated cost is around 315€. Thanks again!
