Peugeot 206 boost pressure sensor issue
Summary of the thread
A 2007 Peugeot 206 diesel exhibited issues such as a check engine light, jerking during acceleration, a loud hissing noise, engine stalling, increased fuel consumption, and reduced engine power. These symptoms suggested a potential problem with the boost pressure sensor, possibly due to a faulty connection. Cleaning the contacts was initially attempted, but ultimately, the sensor and connector needed replacement. After these repairs, the car's performance improved significantly, resolving the issues.

Thanks for the reply! When you say it was the connection, do you mean you just cleaned the contacts, or did you have to replace the whole sensor and wiring?

I tried cleaning the contacts first, but that didn't solve the problem permanently. Ended up having to visit the workshop, sadly. They confirmed the sensor was faulty, probably due to the bad connection damaging it over time.

Thanks a lot for your help! I took it to a local workshop, and they confirmed it was indeed the boost pressure sensor. They replaced it and also fixed the dodgy connector. Cost me about 95€ all in, but the car is running much better now. No more jerking or hissing!

Sounds familiar. I had almost the exact same symptoms on my 206. Check engine light, jerking, the works. It was indeed the boost pressure sensor. Likely the connection.
