Peugeot 206 Brake Booster Pressure Sensor Issue

I'm having trouble with what I think is the brake booster pressure sensor on my 2008 Peugeot 206 diesel. An error message shows up, and braking isn't as good. Diagnostic tools also show an error. Has anyone else had this issue? Could it be from incorrectly bled brakes?

Wow, that sounds familiar! Something similar happened with my old Opel Astra. Same year, too! The brake pedal felt hard, and the error codes were all brake pressure related. Did you recently have any work done on the brake lines or the master cylinder? In my case, a mechanic didn't bleed the brakes properly after replacing a line. Could that be your issue?

Thanks! The braking definitely feels diminished. The brake system was recently bled after a small repair. Could improperly bled brakes affect the brake booster pressure sensor and cause these symptoms?

Absolutely! Incorrect bleeding can cause air bubbles, messing with the pressure readings. My Astra did the EXACT same thing after they messed up the bleeding! Based on your symptoms and the recent brake work, I'd bet that's it. Get it checked by a trusted workshop to properly diagnose and resolve it. Otherwise, you risk damaging other parts and losing brake performance.

Thank you! I consulted a trusted workshop, and the issue was from improperly bled brakes, leading to a faulty brake booster pressure sensor reading. The sensor was replaced, and the braking system was bled correctly. The total cost was about 90€.
