Peugeot 206 Camshaft Sensor Issue
Summary of the thread
A 2011 Peugeot 206 with a gasoline engine was experiencing rough starts, reduced power, and an error code, leading to suspicion of a camshaft sensor issue, possibly due to a bad connection. Another person suggested checking the crankshaft sensor as well, as it can cause similar problems. Ultimately, the issue was resolved by fixing a faulty camshaft sensor plug, resulting in the car running smoothly again.

Interesting. Rough idling, yeah, especially when it's cold. So, you think even with the error code pointing to the camshaft sensor, it could still be the crankshaft?

Could be. My error code was pointing somewhere else too, can't remember exactly where, but the garage said that those Peugeot engines do that sometimes. Might save yourself some time and stress just to take it to a workshop.

Alright, thanks for the advice. Took it to the shop; turns out the camshaft sensor plug was dodgy. 95€ later and it's running smoothly again.

I had something similar with my 206. Rough idling too? Check the crankshaft sensor as well, those things can cause all sorts of problems when they go bad and sometimes it's hard to tell exactly which sensor is at fault.
