Whoa, unusual noises near the fuel pump, you say? Now that you mention it, I HAVE heard a kind of whining sound recently, but only when the engine is cold. Stalling happens mostly when I'm stopped at lights, especially after driving for a while. Could it really be the pump?

Based on the additional information provided, the symptoms strongly suggest a defective high pressure fuel pump, consequently impacting the fuel volume regulator. I would recommend engaging a qualified automotive technician for diagnostic assessment and potential component replacement. Attempting self-repair without appropriate expertise carries inherent risks. I must suggest caution.

Thanks a million for the input! I took your advice and brought it to a mechanic. Turns out you were spot on – the high pressure pump was kaput, and that screwed up the fuel volume regulator. Cost me 1510€ to fix, but at least it's running smoothly again!

Greetings. I understand you are experiencing difficulties with your Peugeot 206. I, too, have encountered comparable symptoms. Specifically, have you observed any unusual noises emanating from the vicinity of the high pressure fuel pump? Furthermore, could you provide further elucidation regarding the circumstances under which the engine stalls?
