Peugeot 206 electrics flaky error codes

A software reset makes sense. I don't know if they tried it. What's the difference between a reset and a recalibration? Should I ask them to try one over the other?

Okay, so a reset is like rebooting your computer – it clears temporary glitches. Recalibration is more in-depth, re-establishing the correct operating parameters for the control unit. Given the electrical gremlins and the nav issue, a recalibration might be necessary, but a reset is the quicker, cheaper first step. Honestly, though, this sounds complex enough that a workshop with Peugeot-specific diagnostic tools is your best bet to pinpoint the exact problem and avoid further headaches.

Thanks, that really clarifies things. I'll ask them about the software reset first. Seems like a trip to the workshop is inevitable, though. They quoted me around 240€ for the repair, which seems reasonable. Wish me luck!

Sounds like a pain! When they say 'control unit programming', are they thinking it's just corrupted data or a full-on module failure? Have they tried a simple software reset to see if that clears the errors? Could be worth a shot before digging deeper.
