Thanks. I haven't heard any hissing from the gas cap, but I'll listen more closely. Can you tell me exactly what you did to fix your problem? Did you look at the pressure sensor?

Okay, so the hissing thing might be a red herring then, I thought it might be the tank not breathing properly. TBH, I got fed up trying to fix it myself and took it to a workshop. They reckoned it was a clogged hose somewhere in the tank ventilation system, like a blocked artery in a human body! They replaced it, and it sorted out the stalling and the check engine light. Seriously, if you're not sure, get a pro to look at it. Could save you a lot of headaches!

Thanks for the advice to see a professional. I had it inspected at a trusted workshop. They said the tank ventilation valve was faulty because of clogged hoses. Repairs, including replacing the parts, cost 175€. The problem is fixed. Thanks again for your help.

Woah, sounds familiar! I have a 206 too and had something like that a while back! Check Engine light was on and it kept stalling on me. I started thinking it was haunted, like some poltergeist was messing with the gas pedal! You might want to check the purge valve and the gas cap too. Is yours making any weird hissing sounds when you open the gas cap after a drive?
