Peugeot 206 Headlight Washer Issue

Hey guys, I've got a 2004 Peugeot 206, gasoline engine, and the headlight cleaning system is acting up. More precisely, it seems like the windshield washer system is dead too. I've checked the fuses, and they seem fine. Anyone else had this issue? Thinking maybe it's a dodgy cable connection to the pump or the relay. It's got me stumped.

I had a similar issue with my 206. Does your car have Xenon headlights? If so, the headlight washer system only activates when the headlights are on. Have you checked if the pump is getting power when the headlights are on and you try to use the windshield washers? Could be a simple clog in the system too.

Thanks for the quick reply! Yes, it does have Xenon lights. I hadn't considered that it might only work with the headlights on. I'll check for power at the pump with the lights on tomorrow. Where is the pump located and is it difficult to access to check for clogs?

On my car, the pump is integrated with the windshield washer reservoir, usually located in the engine bay, near the front wheel arch. Access can be a bit tight depending on your specific configuration. However, if you've already checked the fuses and are now troubleshooting the pump, it might be best to have a workshop take a look. A faulty relay or wiring issue could be tricky to diagnose without the right tools.

Alright, thanks for the advice. I checked it out, and the pump wasn't getting any power. I took it to a shop, and turns out it was a corroded connector on the pump. Cost me 165€ to get sorted. Appreciate the help!
