Peugeot 206 heating problem

Hey, I've got a 2003 Peugeot 206, gasoline engine, with a weird heating problem. The heater's blowing lukewarm air, even when the engine's warmed up. Also, I pulled the codes and there's an error related to the water valve. Could a dodgy connection be the culprit?

I had a similar issue on my 206. Is the engine overheating at all? Could be the water valve itself failing, especially if the error code points directly to it.

No overheating, thankfully. Just the weak heat and the error code. You think it's unlikely to just be a loose wire, then? I was hoping for an easy fix, but a failing valve sounds pricier.

While a dodgy connection could cause it, the symptoms and error code lean towards the valve itself. You could try checking the wiring, but honestly, a replacement is probably on the cards. It's not a super complicated job, but might be worth getting a workshop to handle it.

Thanks for the advice. I checked the wiring as you suggested, but it all looked fine. Bit the bullet and had the water valve replaced. Cost me 95€, but the heating's working perfectly now and the error's gone. Cheers!
