Peugeot 206 key fob battery issue
Summary of the thread
A 2007 Peugeot 206 owner is experiencing issues with the key fob, receiving a 'key battery low' warning, and facing problems with keyless access and locking functions. The suspected cause is an empty key fob battery. A similar experience from another owner suggests that replacing the key fob battery resolved the issue, confirming the accuracy of the warning. The suggested solution is to replace the key fob battery, which is expected to restore functionality.

It's pretty much completely dead. I have to manually unlock the car with the key. I've tried multiple times, but keyless entry never works. Any ideas?

Yep, sounds exactly like what happened to mine. I tried everything, but in the end, I just went to a workshop. They replaced the key battery, and everything was fine again. Seems like that 'key battery low' warning is pretty accurate!

Thanks for the info! I suspected as much. I'll get the battery replaced. It ended up costing 37€, but that's fine with me!

Oh, I know this feeling! I've got a 206 too, and the key fob acted up on me a few months ago. Is it completely dead, or does it sometimes work if you're really close to the car?
