Thanks for the quick reply! I haven't checked the connections directly yet, I was hoping it was just a fuse. Do I need to remove the car upholstery or something to get to the cable and plug?

No need to remove the entire upholstery, thankfully. You should be able to access the connectors by reaching under the seat. It's a bit tight, but you should be able to feel around for the plug. Given that there's an error code, and based on my experience, I'd suggest visiting a workshop.

Okay, thanks a lot for the help! It seems like checking the connection could be a bit tricky for me. I took your advice and brought it to a local mechanic. Turns out it was indeed a defective cable / plug connection. Cost me 95€, but at least it's working again!

I had a similar issue with the massage seat in my 206. It turned out to be a faulty connection. Have you checked the cable and plug connections under the seat? Maybe try wiggling the wires a bit while someone tries to activate the switch. Which seat is affected, driver or passenger?
