Peugeot 206 oil level sensor issue
Summary of the thread
A 2009 Peugeot 206 owner experienced an error message and warning light related to the oil level sensor. Initial checks of the cable and plug showed no visible damage. A suggestion was made to inspect the sensor for damage or corrosion, as it could be the cause of the issue. Ultimately, the problem was resolved by replacing a defective cable at a workshop.

Thanks for the tip. No, I haven't checked the sensor itself closely. Where is it located, and what should I look for?

It's usually located at the bottom of the oil pan. I would advise to take it to a professional, as it can be a tricky job. A faulty sensor or wiring can cause those errors.

Thanks for the advice. Took it to the workshop, and it turned out to be a defective cable. They replaced it for 95€. Problem solved.

I had a similar problem with my 206. The oil level sensor can be quite sensitive. Have you checked the sensor itself for any signs of damage or corrosion?
