The gauge is climbing too high! Coolant level is fine. And no, the fan hasn't come on at all. Where exactly was the faulty connection on your 206? Was it easy to get to?

Yep, sounds very similar. I never managed to fix it myself. I poked around a bit, but ended up taking it to a workshop. They sorted it out pretty quickly. I remember them mentioning it was a corroded connector. Might be worth getting it checked out professionally.

Thanks so much for the advice! I suspected it might be something like that. I'll take it to a local mechanic. They quoted me about 95€ to fix it, so hopefully, that'll be the end of it. Really appreciate the help!

I had something similar happen with my 206. Is the temperature gauge climbing really high? Have you checked the coolant level? In my case, it turned out to be a faulty connection to the fan motor. Does your fan ever come on, even for a second?
