Peugeot 206 Overheating

Hi, I have a Peugeot 206, 2003, gasoline engine. It's done about 30565 km. The engine seems to be overheating and takes ages to warm up. Could this be a dodgy thermostat or cooling circuit issue? I know it might be the map thermostat, but any ideas before I start digging?

Whoa, overheating is never good! Could be a bunch of things, right? Is the water pump doing its job? Maybe even just a simple temperature sensor issue? I'd check those too!

Thanks for the reply. About the temperature sensor, any tips on how to test it or what readings I should be looking for to see if it's working?

Honestly, not really. I'm not super techy. Overheating is risky, though. I'd say get it checked out by someone who knows their stuff! Save yourself a bigger headache.

Thanks. Given it could be serious, I'll get the cooling system checked out professionally. Better safe than sorry. Thanks for your time.
