Peugeot 206 power window failure
Summary of the thread
The power windows of a 2007 Peugeot 206 stopped working after a battery replacement, with an error related to window regulator initialization. The issue persisted despite checking fuses and attempting a reset procedure. A suggestion was made to try a window reset procedure, but it was unsuccessful. The problem may require professional intervention, as similar cases have been resolved in workshops.
Did this summary help you solve your problem?

Thanks for the quick reply! Yes, I tried to follow the reset procedure as described in the manual, holding the button down for a few seconds after the window is fully closed/opened. Unfortunately without success. Is this what you were referring to, or is there another procedure that I am missing?

Yeah, that's the procedure I meant. If that's not working, and you've checked the obvious stuff like fuses, it might be a deeper problem. I ended up taking mine to a workshop. They sorted it out quickly, but I don't know exactly what they did. Sorry, I can't be more helpful!

Alright, thanks for confirming. I was hoping to avoid a trip to the workshop, but it seems like that's the only option left. Just got a quote for 290€, looks like it will be an expensive battery replacement. I will post the outcome once it's sorted.

I had something similar happen with my 206. The power windows wouldn't respond after some electrical work. Did you try the window reset procedure? Sometimes the system needs to relearn the window positions. I don't remember the exact steps, but it involves holding the window controls in a specific way. I can try to look it up.
