You should see them from inside, looking at the sensor through the windshield. They'll look like small distortions or air pockets in the gel. If they're there, that's likely it. I'd recommend getting it checked by a professional.

I appreciate your input. I took it to a workshop, and there were bubbles under the gel pad, just as you said. The sensor was replaced, and the total repair was 62€. Everything works now.

I had similar symptoms in my 206. Check for bubbles forming under the gel pad of the windshield where the sensor sits. It can mess with the light refraction and cause electrical gremlins.
