Peugeot 206 Rear Ventilation Problem

I've got a weird problem with the rear ventilation flap on my 2009 Peugeot 206 diesel. There's an error in the error memory about the climate control unit, and the A/C isn't cooling properly. I think it might be a bad cable or plug on the rear ventilation. Anyone else seen this, or have any ideas?

I had a similar issue with my 206 and the rear vents. I found the same error code. The climate control system in these cars can be a bit temperamental. Does the air come out weakly, or not at all? When you adjust the front vents, do you hear the motor working as it changes the air distribution settings? It could be a stuck flap, or maybe something else.

The air comes out very weakly from the rear vents. I can hear the motor working when I adjust the front vents. Does that mean it's probably a stuck flap, or could it still be the electrical connections I thought of first?

Based on what you're saying, it's hard to pinpoint. It does sound like a stuck flap is possible, especially if you can hear the motor working. However, a weak signal due to a bad connection could also cause that. Considering you're getting an error code, and the A/C isn't cooling well, my advice? Take it to a workshop. It will save you a headache. The estimated repair cost in my case was 95€.

I think I will consult with a qualified technician. I will schedule an appointment with a reputable workshop to diagnose and rectify the issue. Thanks for sharing your experiences and guidance.
