Peugeot 206 Stalling at Idle

I'm having an issue with my 2011 Peugeot 206, gasoline engine. The check engine light keeps popping up, and the engine has started stalling at idle. I scanned for error codes, and it's showing an incorrect fuel composition error. I'm thinking it might be related to fuel quality or maybe a bad fuel filter, messing up the fuel mixture? Any ideas where to start? It's got 96952 km on the clock.

Hey, I had a similar problem on my 206. Have you checked the wiring?

Wiring, huh? Can you be a bit more specific? Which wiring are we talking about, exactly? Fuel system related, I guess? What should I be looking for?

Yeah, fuel system. Turned out to be a defective plug connection of some component. The garage charged me 95€ and it was fixed. I would suggest you go to the workshop.

Thanks a lot for the tip! I checked the fuel system wiring and found a loose plug connection on the fuel sensor, like you said. Gave it a good clean and tightened it up. Seems like that was the culprit! Light's off, and the engine is idling smoothly again. You saved me some serious garage fees!
