Peugeot 206 system readiness incomplete

I'm having a weird issue with my 2010 Peugeot 206 diesel. The system readiness check is incomplete. I've got an error stored and a message popping up in the speedometer. The only thing I did recently was read out the car via OBD2 for diagnostics. Could this be the cause? It's got just under 50000 km on the clock. Any ideas?

I had something similar happen with my old Vauxhall Astra. After using an OBD2 scanner, the system readiness monitors weren't set. It's like when you reset your computer and some settings revert to default. Have you tried a drive cycle?

A drive cycle? What exactly does that involve? Is it like a special sequence of driving maneuvers or something? I'm wondering if it's something I can do myself, or if it requires special equipment.

Yeah, basically. It's a specific driving pattern that helps the car's computer re-run all the onboard diagnostics. I just took mine to a workshop, and they sorted it out pretty quick. Much less hassle. I would suggest you do the same.

Thanks for the tip! I took it to the shop as you suggested, and you were spot on. The OBD2 reading had reset the readiness monitors. They performed a drive cycle, and it fixed the issue. Cost me nothing! Thanks again!
