Peugeot 206 Tire Pressure Sensor Fault

Hi, I have a 2008 Peugeot 206, diesel engine, with about 14k km. I'm getting a 'Tire pressure too low' warning. I've checked the tires and they seem fine. The error is also stored. Could it be a faulty sensor? Maybe a dead sensor battery?

I had a similar issue with my old Opel Astra. Tire pressure monitoring systems (TPMS) rely on sensors inside the tire. It sounds like the sensor battery might be the culprit. These batteries aren't designed to last forever. How old are your tires? That could also affect the sensor's lifespan.

Thanks! The tires are original, so from 2008. Is it likely that all sensors would fail around the same time?

Given the age of your Peugeot's tires and the sensors, it's plausible that the sensor batteries are nearing the end of their life simultaneously. I'd recommend getting them checked at a workshop. They should be able to confirm if it's the sensors and replace them.

Thanks for the advice! I took it to the workshop, and you were right, it was the sensor batteries. Had them replaced for 280€. All sorted now!
