The grinding noise isn't constant. It seems to happen mostly when the transmission is shifting gears, especially under load. Does that sound similar to what you experienced with your Astra?

Affirmative. In my case, the noise was most prevalent during gear changes, more so when accelerating. Given the diagnostic information available, and the fact that your Peugeot's symptoms align with my Astra's experience, I would suggest having the automatic transmission converter professionally inspected at a workshop. It appears to be defective and might require replacement, with cost of around 2120€.

Thanks for confirming. I suspected as much. I'll take it to a workshop to get it checked out properly.

Greetings. The symptoms you describe bear a striking resemblance to an issue I encountered with my old Vauxhall Astra, though that was a petrol model. The error codes pointed towards the torque converter lock-up clutch. Was the grinding noise persistent, or only under specific conditions?
