Peugeot 206 turn signal fault

Having trouble with my 2016 Peugeot 206 diesel. The turn signal lamp is defective, with an error stored, a message on the speedometer, and a general lighting fault. I suspect a bad cable or plug. Anyone seen this?

Summary of the thread

A 2016 Peugeot 206 diesel is experiencing a consistent turn signal fault, indicated by a defective lamp error and a general lighting fault message. The suspected causes include a bad cable or plug, with corrosion in the bulb holder or a defective flasher relay also considered. The suggested solution is to inspect the bulb holder for corrosion and, if none is found, to address potential wiring issues, preferably by taking the car to a workshop for repair.

I had a similar issue with my 206. Is the error constant, or does it come and go? Sometimes a cracked lens lets in moisture, causing corrosion and electrical problems. Check the bulb holder for corrosion. A flasher relay could also cause it, but that usually affects all the turn signals.

Thanks. The error is consistent. I'll check the bulb holder for corrosion. If it looks okay, could it still be a wiring issue, and how hard is that to fix?

Since the error is consistent and there's no corrosion, yes, it could be a wiring issue. A defective cable is most likely. I'd suggest a workshop. Repair should be around 95€.

Thanks for confirming. I appreciate the cost estimate. I'll take it to a workshop.
