Peugeot 207 AC not cooling
Summary of the thread
A 2014 Peugeot 207's air conditioning system isn't cooling, with a warning light indicating a refrigerant compressor error. The compressor remains silent, suggesting a potential issue beyond just a refrigerant leak. A similar case was resolved by replacing a defective air conditioning control unit, which prevented the compressor from receiving power. It is recommended to have a professional workshop diagnose the problem to confirm the cause and proceed with the necessary repairs.

Thanks! I haven't seen any leaks, and it was charged recently. The compressor's completely silent when the AC is on. Does that point to a bigger compressor issue?

Right, silent compressor... Yeah, sounds EXACTLY like what happened to mine. Tried everything, but in the end, the garage said the air conditioning control unit was defective and that was why the compressor wasn't getting power. Honestly, after that, I'd take it to a trusted workshop. They'll diagnose it properly. Better than throwing parts at it and hoping!

Thanks for sharing! Sounds like my situation. I'll check the air conditioning control unit. I'll get a workshop to diagnose it. Then I'll probably replace the control unit, like you did. Repair's about 980€.

Hey! Sounds familiar... I had a similar problem with my 207's AC. Stopped blowing cold, and that awful warning light lit up. Compressor, eh? Did you check if maybe it's just a refrigerant leak? Sometimes a stone flicks up and damages the condenser and you slowly lose refrigerant. Is the compressor actually making any noise when you turn the AC on, or is it just dead silent?
