Peugeot 207 AC not working
Summary of the thread
The air conditioning in a 2012 Peugeot 207 stopped working, with the system not switching on or cooling. A stored error code suggested potential issues, with possible causes including a faulty AC relay, refrigerant leak, or undervoltage. After checking these possibilities, it was determined that the problem was due to undervoltage caused by a faulty battery, which was replaced to restore the AC functionality.

Thanks for the reply! How would I check the AC relay, and where is it usually located? And what does undervoltage mean?

Okay, so the AC relay is usually in the fuse box, often under the hood or sometimes inside the car near the steering wheel. The owner's manual should show its exact location. You can try swapping it with an identical relay from another system like the horn if it's the same type to see if that fixes it. Undervoltage is when the car's electrical system isn't getting enough power, which can happen if the battery is weak or there's a problem with the charging system. Given that you have a stored error code, undervoltage is likely the problem, so you will probably have to go to the workshop.

Thanks a lot for the detailed explanation! It turned out to be undervoltage. I went to the shop, and they found a problem with the battery. They replaced it, cleared the error, and now the A/C is working perfectly again. Cost me 240€ Appreciate the help!

Hey! That's a bummer, especially with the AC. Does the A/C compressor even try to kick on? Sometimes, a simple AC relay can be the culprit. Have you checked that, or if there's any sign of a refrigerant leak? A leak could cause low pressure and prevent the compressor from engaging. Also, has the car been sitting for a while? Undervoltage can also trigger this issue in the HVAC system.
