Thanks for the quick reply! I haven't checked the cables and plugs yet, mostly because I'm not entirely sure where to find the central locking module. Is it difficult to access? Also, I will check the error code tomorrow and post it here.

You're welcome! Accessing the module depends on the car's design, like trying to find the fuse box - sometimes it's hidden in plain sight, other times it's a puzzle. If you're not comfortable with electrical work, it might be best to take it to a workshop. A damaged cable or faulty plug could result in a full defect of the security system if not handled with due care. It could save you a lot of additional repair costs.

Thanks for the advice. Turns out the problem was indeed a defective plug connection to the central locking module, just as you suspected! Took it to the shop, and they fixed it for 95€. Appreciate the help!

Hello! I understand your frustration. Central locking issues can be a real headache, like having a leaky faucet that constantly drips. Have you checked the cable and plug connections of the central locking module? A defective connection there can definitely cause these symptoms. Do you happen to know the specific error code that's being stored? That could help narrow down the possibilities.
