Peugeot 207 Check Engine Light and NOx Sensor
Summary of the thread
A 2012 Peugeot 207 owner experienced a check engine light and a bad exhaust smell, with error codes pointing to a pollution control issue. The mechanic suspects a faulty NOx sensor or a bad connection as the cause. The suggested solution is to have the sensor or its connections checked and possibly repaired, with a quoted cost of around 95€.

Yeah, the error codes definitely indicate the NOx sensor. The mechanic mentioned the cable or plug connection of the component might be defective. Was yours the same, just the sensor?

Okay, sounds very familiar. In the end I just took it to my local workshop and they fixed it.

Alright, thanks for confirming! I'll probably get it checked out at the workshop then. The 95€ seems reasonable considering the potential hassle. Will post a follow-up once it's done.

I think I had something similar with my 207. Check Engine light, exhaust smell... Was it definitely the NOx sensor? Did the codes point to that?
