Thanks for the reply! Interesting you had the same problem. Regarding the cable/plug, the error code pointed me in that direction. I know it's not definitive, but it seemed like a logical first step before tearing the whole ventilation system apart. Did your issue also throw up an error code, or was it just poor heating performance?

An error code changes everything! In my case, it was just poor performance; no error codes, so a different situation. Given you have an error code pointing to the flap and you've checked the obvious, I'd say you're on the right track. 95€ sounds reasonable to get it sorted, unless you fancy pulling the dashboard apart yourself! I'd take it to the workshop.

Thanks for confirming my suspicions! I appreciate you sharing your experience. I've booked it in for repair. They confirmed the cable was indeed the culprit. Should be as good as new after that, hopefully resolving the poor heating and windshield fogging for good!

I have a Peugeot 207 too, and I had a similar problem last winter. The heating was poor, and I was forever scraping the inside of the windscreen. Sounds exactly like my issue. But I didn't suspect any cable or plug! Did you check the temperature regulation before digging deeper? What made you think that was the most likely culprit?
