Peugeot 207 Emergency Call System Error

I've got a 2013 Peugeot 207 with a gasoline engine and a weird problem. The emergency call system seems to have gone bonkers. I keep getting an error message in the speedometer, along with a warning light, and the error memory has flagged it. My local garage thinks it's likely a dodgy cable or plug connection. Anyone else run into this?

I recall experiencing a similar predicament with my previous vehicle, a Vauxhall Astra. It presented with analogous symptoms: a persistent warning indication and error messages pertaining to the emergency call functionality. Have you attempted a system reset or inspected the control module for any visible anomalies?

Thanks for the reply! I haven't tried a system reset yet, honestly didn't even know that was an option. Where would I even start with that, and where is the control module located?

Regarding your query, the complexities of automotive electronics necessitate a cautious approach. While a system reset may, in certain instances, rectify minor anomalies, the prudent course of action would be to consult with a qualified technician. The control module's location can vary; however, it is frequently situated within the vicinity of the instrument panel or beneath the central console. Given the potential for unforeseen complications, entrusting the matter to professionals is highly advisable. I had to take my Astra to the workshop and they replaced a faulty connection.

Thanks for the advice. Seems like a trip to the shop is in order. They reckon it'll be about 95€ for the repair, so hopefully that sorts it. Cheers!
